Emission factor summary

Emissions generated by the activity within the product supply chain as described in ecoinvent v3.10. This is delivering the service of converting one type of land into another. Specifically here converting land to be used as forest intensive. The service models the changes in carbon stocks due to the transformation of land. It is measured as kg of C net primary productvity (NPP) and represents the amount of land transformed to produce this NPP. There are five types of land (primary forest secondary forest grassland annual crop and perennial crop) that are converted into land that is meant to be used for annual crop production. In a market the mix of land tenure is country specific and thus users are prompted to inspect the regional composition for the specific land types converted into land for anual crop production. The cut-off classification is allocatable product. The activity type is ordinary transforming activity. The reference product amount is 1.
