Barite (barite production)

Emissions generated by the activity within the product supply chain as described in ecoinvent v3.10. The product 'barite' is a metal. It is a barium-based mineral that is also called barium sulfate. It is a direct product of mining and beneficiation and a by-product of niobium mine operation and beneficiation from pyrochlore ore. It can be used in the following applications and/or processes: mainly used in the drilling process medical industry plastics clutch pads rubber mudflaps mold release compounds radiation shielding television and computer monitors sound-deadening material in automobiles traffic cones brake linings paint and golf balls. The cut-off classification is allocatable product. The activity type is ordinary transforming activity. The reference product amount is 1.
