While many of our emission factors are free to browse in Data Studio, most users require a license to use Climatiq data and software as part of their work. We offer various licensing options for businesses, consultancies, academics, and non-profits.
The type of license you need depends on whether you're using Climatiq for commercial or non-commercial purposes. Here are some examples:

Anna is responsible for creating emissions reports at her organization. She uses Climatiq to calculate their carbon emissions.
She is using the data for internal purposes, and therefore doesn't need a commercial license. For full metadata and exports, she can upgrade to Data Pro.
Marie is a consultant. She creates sustainability reports for her clients using emission factors from Climatiq.
This is commercial use. She therefore needs a commercial license, such as Data Pro with consultant licensing.

This is non-commercial use, so he does not require a commercial license. He does, however, need to give attribution.
