Data Release 14

This data release introduces:

• BEIS's latest spend-based dataset for 2021.
• CO2e emissions data for fuel upstream and downstream emissions in China provided by the Chinese Academy of Environmental Planning (CAEP).
• Standard fuel emissions data to support the carbon border adjustment mechanism (CBAM).

Data Changed

This list only covers major changes. Changes covering a smaller subset of emission factors, or changes such as name or description changes, are not listed. Find a link at the end of this document to a structured table listing all changes.

• We've updated the spend-based datasets from BEIS for the years 2019 and 2020 with the latest available data.
• The activity unit has been corrected from USD to NZD and year has been corrected from 2023 to 2019 for New Zealand’s spend-based datasets from Market Economics Limited.
• We corrected the IEA activity ids for electricity generation, from electricity-supply_grid-source_total_supplier_mix to electricity-supply_grid-source_supplier_mix
