.Data Added
- BEIS: actvity-based emission factors for year 2023 covering multiple sectors primarily for the UK but also extending to various countries worldwide for Accommodation and Transport.
- UNFCCC: electricity supplier mix data for year 2023 in Canada.
- UNECE: global emission factors of nuclear fuel consumption and renewables.
Data Changed
This list only covers major changes that cover 100+ emission factors. Changes covering a smaller subset of emission factors, or changes such as name or description changes are not listed. Find a link at the end of this document to a structured table listing all changes.
ClimateTRACE coal factors marked as erroneous
134 factors for the activity ID mined_materials-type_coal
from ClimateTRACE have been marked with the data quality flag erroneous_calculation
. These emission factors have not passed our data validation process as we believe there is an error in the unit of measurement for quantity of coal extracted in the source.
ClimateTRACE cement production factors LCA activity changed
135 factors from ClimateTRACE with the activity_id building_materials-type_cement_production
have had their LCA activity changed from "primary_production-transport-manufacturing" to "manufacturing". The methodology document from ClimateTRACE does not include raw materials and given that the majority of the emissions come from the production process, the contribution of raw materials should be very small.
BEIS dataset divided up
The BEIS dataset "UK Government GHG Conversion Factors for Company Reporting", has now been divided up for the individual years that it was reported in, as it has been updated from the original source.
BEIS activity_id changed
The activity_id previously labeled as freight_vehicle-vehicle_type_van-fuel_source_diesel-vehicle_weight_1.305t_lt_1.74t
has been updated and refined to freight_vehicle-vehicle_type_van-fuel_source_diesel-vehicle_weight_lt_3.5t
to more accurately represent a Diesel van with a weight capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes.
